Popeye's an assistant zookeeper in the 1961 King Features cartoon Who's Kidding Zoo. Brutus tries to sabotage him by fitting springs onto the baby kangaroo's feet. So at feeding time Popeye's stunned to learn that a young kangaroo's favorite food is carrots apparently? Oh also that the joey's leaping off uncontrollably towards the lion's mouth. Head zookeeper Olive Oyl is very impressed that Popeye doesn't want the joey to leap into a lion's mouth so, good? Limitation of the character design, I guess.

I do like how Popeye's hands came out, though.
