Edit:

I redid a few things on this picture, its a reupload as it was modified, I redid the water, added sparkles instead of fish, and I fixed Kou's leg situation as now there are two front legs LMAO. I think it looks better with the water sparkly instead of having two random fish in it. :)



Description:



The sun was shining over the territory when Kou decided to stop for a break, for a moment, she had been spending the mornings when her mate was away wandering the line of the territory and marking. She stopped near a river, and just stared into the distance, her gaze following it to where their den resided. The river lead to the ocean, and by her own rights that was one of her favorite places to be.



Kou's hazel eyes closed and she inhaled the scent of the water, the rocks, the moss, even the fish that she could see underneath the water spawning. It made her smile to see that their territory was so alive. She had a lot on her mind, as she always did but comfort, and contentment was overwhelming her now. 



Kou felt good, she felt like everything was going good, she felt herself healing, and moving forward, she'd spoke to her mate about it the night previous, and he, in his way was happy for her. Finally she felt like she could move forward, and breathe. The wild was calling her, and she was going to answer it. She kept her eyes forward, listening, her ears pinned forward as well, just taking in everything around her. She was happy, finally, content, and happy. And nothing would change that. She was finally healing and it felt amazing.

 Artist's Notes: 



I literally, do not know where to start with this one. I have been having issues with my tablet, so I decided fuck gimp I'm going to try a different program, and I downloaded Krita, and ya'll I wanted to cry, it was like christmas, all the brushes, and stuff you can do in the program. Oh my lord. WHERE has this been my entire life?! 



So after about an hour, and cracking the casing for my tablet pen, I got it to work again. I'm still struggling with how to draw fur, and making Kou look more realistic, so if you have any tips for that I'd appreciate them <3 



But I had this image pop in my head this morning when I woke up, after having it pop in my head last night, and I just wanted to get it down before it disappeared.



It took me 3 hours, and I really enjoyed playing with all the water brushes, and experimenting and just having fun with this. Its a cool program Krita and I cant wait to expand on it. 



I'm again, so proud of how this came out, and it was another angle that I'm not used to drawing and I did it again. I didnt even use a reference for this <3 



I love it, I love the artist I am becoming ( on my good days ) and I just cant wait to see how much further this takes me!
