An adorable cougar cub at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo wants its younger adoptive sibling to play with it. I don't know if it's male or female, so I'm stuck with "it" for both of them. I wish this wasn't taken through glass. The amusing moment is partially blurred due to movement. The thick glass, smeared and dirty in places, made focusing difficult. When movement occurred, it became nearly impossible. I thought it would be worth sharing the photo though, because it's just plain cute! ^.^
The four resident cougar siblings that had been at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs since 2007, as I recall, have all since passed. So with heavy hearts let us welcome the new inhabitants of their home. These are young cats, some are siblings, one died last year. So there's already tragedy there. The most recent addition is younger yet, as you can see. It's already got a soft spot in my heart. Little ones do that.
I'm adding this footnote again:
I understand people will save photos they like. That's fine to use as desktop or mobile backgrounds. I put metadata in all of them to try to have some sort of copyright, though I doubt it makes much difference. If you want to print any of them, please let me know. I don't charge a lot for prints. I'd just like to get something. This is a passion of mine, and it's not profitable no matter my wishing it were so. Yet getting a little money every so often from prints makes it feel somehow like I'm doing something right. Justifying my continued energy put into the process of taking photos and expanding my skills. I hope that all makes sense.
