VOCT2 - Chapter 3: Femmes, Foils, Fires, and Ferris Wheels
HOOBOY.
This one's a doozy.
Firstly, I've already won by default once again due to
surge being unable to continue in the tournament. It's actually kind of a big shame since I did do a ton of research on his story and his characters in preparation for writing this thing. Surge was my scoring equal pretty much in the last two rounds, so I knew I had to bring my A-game if I wanted any hope of winning...
But! Turns out it wasn't entirely necessary. Oh well, such is life. I still put all that research to damn good use and I tried to make a fairly epic story. This one's a whole 10 pages longer than Round Two's entry! More story, more characters, more fighting... Generally tried to improve on as much as I could, noting down other peoples' stories and the judges' critiques for me last round.
Of course, it's probably a good thing that Surge couldn't finish an entry, as, since I just now finished writing the damn thing, this thing's pretty rough (especially the ending, eesh). Normally I write the entire thing and then, later on, go through it again, adding and taking away details, spicing up and diversifying adjectives, and so forth.
This time, all I had time to do pretty much was run it through spellchecker. Hopefully the improved quality will still shine forth, though (it's way better than my previous entries, I know that much).

From that quick glance over 20+ pages or so, it looks nice. Had a bit of a read here and there, not really in a position to read it all right now. :\
All I can really say at this point is It's long, looks nice, and Ludash isn't
's character, he's mine. n.n;;
I -WILL- back to you once I've read it all properly. Promise.

I DID try to do YOU justice. I tried capturing your character, getting his details down, getting all your support characters' attitudes down, showing off your fighting style, your weapons, details from previous fights, details on your stories. I DID spend a huge chunk of time reading your entries and writing down notes.
And I wrote this for pretty much 24 hours STRAIGHT. By the end, which was a couple of hours ago, I was dead, not to mention the deadline was 4 hours ago at the time. I had to rush and save on details in order to finish on time.
And I'll have you know that I wasn't exactly twiddling my fingers until the deadline, either. I have a full webcomic to draw twice every week, I had to do a ton of preparation work for Anthrocon, I had commissions to do. I sacrificed my doing a comic for today in order to get this done. It's not school, but it IS stuff people semi-expect and want me to do.
But if you're gonna look down on it because I didn't go "Quetza gobbles down James in a descriptive sequence", then fine, whatever.
