I've been spinning poi for about three years but haven't had the opportunity to hook up with some folks to get the full fire experience. Well, tonight, I went flame on! I had a friend snap this (crappy quality, thank you Steve Jobs) iPhone pic of my first time. I believe I'm in the middle of a butterfly weave there.

Sad thing is, I got those fire wicks last fall for my birthday and it's taken me this long to get them dipped. :-S But now, at least, my fire cherry has been officially toasted.
