i do think all the hate seems a bit silly just because her design changed from concept art that was shown over a year ago that kind of thing happen in move production all the time, it happen to Zootopia and the move was much better for it. I can kind of see were there coming from with the face as not having the whiskers dose make her look more feminine but given shes a she any way you could just mark it down a gender or age trait? and having less colorful and less prominent back fins dos make her look more muted but then she's meant to be a water dragon her coloring works fine for that.
Heck it could always turn out that the concept design could be her as a muter adult dragon and your not meant to see her like that till the end of the film!
