The next day, for the most part, nothing of note happened. School was nothing to speak of, and neither were the assignments. As for the siblings, the only new thing was that, in the hallway, Gwen and Isabella would wave and hug each other, much to Andrew's guilty jealousy. As for home, Buckley was still the best thing there, as per usual. (For those curious, Asmodeus babysat Buckley during school, somewhat to Cedric's chagrin).

Throughout school that day, something came to Andrew's mind. It started small but gradually grew until it was all Andrew could think of.
What else is inside of Drake's house?
While Andrew was repulsed by the thought, unfortunately, once it got in Andrew's head, he couldn't get it out. Eventually, the rooftop time came. Andrew, rather than go up, sent a text to Gwen.
Hey, something came to my attention, so I won't be up there today, Andrew texted.
Fair enough, Gwen texted back.
Andrew smiled. He then twitched his stitched tail and vanished. On the other side, he was in front of Still Fountain. The rubble had cleared, so now, the fountain was little more than a thin pool. Andrew then slowly made his to the alleyway. Eventually, he reached the terrible home at the end. Andrew noticed that the windows and door were boarded up, giving the place a more deserted feel. Andrew then hesitated.
"Frick, this is a stupid idea," Andrew said quietly.
But he was already committed to it. Slowly, Andrew twitched his stitched tail again and vanished. On the other side, he was in the foreboding black and red kitchen. Andrew then began to breathe hard while sweating a bit.
Crap, crap, crap! He thought.
Slowly, Andrew went over to the living room. Aside from having the same color scheme as the kitchen, the living room was seemingly average. Though, knowing what Natas had been like, Andrew knew that something was up. Oddly enough, there weren't any stairs. When Andrew glanced at the couch, he noticed a throw blanket. There was also a small table in the center and a bookcase in the back.
Ok then? Andrew thought.
He then hesitantly searched the living room. The couch, surprisingly, had nothing in or underneath it. Andrew expected to find something, but no. As for the table, that was pretty self-explanatory. There was also a door that led to a pretty lackluster bathroom towards the right. Finally, Andrew checked the bookcase. At first, nothing happened. Despite Andrew pulling different books and feeling in the back, he still didn't find anything, aside from a strange key. Once that was all done, Andrew tried one last thing. He slowly, w/ some difficulty, Andrew pushed the bookcase forward. After a bit of effort, the bookcase was moved aside. Behind it, there was... an ominous staircase leading downward. It looked kind of dusty, and Andrew could make out a large, rusty metal door at the bottom. Gulping w/ his curiosity piqued, Andrew slowly made his way down. When he tried to open the door, it was shut tight. Above the handle, there was a keyhole. Remembering the key from before, Andrew took it out. Hesitantly, he unlocked the door. Slowly, Andrew grabbed the handle and breathed hard.
Natas is dead, Natas is dead. Natas is dead, Natas is dead, Natas is dead, Natas is dead! Andrew thought.
Slowly, Andrew opened the door, and... he screamed. In the room, bloody skeletons were hanging from the ceiling, some complete, some ruined. Bloodstains were splattered all over the walls. There were a couple of tables w/ many torture devices on them. Finally, there was a large metal cage in the center. For a while, Andrew could only stare at this room in absolute horror. Eventually, his stitched legs move forward on their own. After a bit, he reached the cage. In it, there was a large, spiked, chained collar, some chained cuffs, a small bowl w/ some wriggling mush, and the metal itself was stained w/ a lot of dry blood. Finally, there was a brown block-like thing. Confused at first, Andrew connected the dots, and he became both devastated and saddened. This was Drake's room. He was kept in this cage like a dangerous animal... Tears flowed down from Andrew's eyes, his face full of despair.
"Oh my God, Drake," Andrew choked out quietly, "I... I'm so sorry."
Even out loud, it sounded pathetic, but Andrew didn't know what else to say. After a bit of crying, Andrew kneeled down and shakily pulled out the brown object. Upon closer inspection, it was a leatherbound journal. While this did pique Andrew's curiosity, his expression didn't change. Not wanting to stay in that horrible room any longer, Andrew immediately twitched his stitched tail and disappeared. On the other side, Andrew was back in his living room. Upon seeing him, Asmodeus got up and was about to hand over Buckley, but stopped when he saw Andrew's expression.
"HEH HEH, WHAT'S WRONG?" Asmodeus asked.
Even Buckley had a worried expression. Andrew gave them a sad look as he tucked the journal under his arm and took Buckley.
"Um, Asmodeus, can I ask you for a favor?"
Asmodeus gave a strange look.
"Can you... obliterate a house for me?" Andrew asked.
Asmodeus gave a strange look.
"HEE HEE, I'M SORRY, WHAT?"
Andrew sighed.
"Let me explain."
He then motioned for Asmodeus to lean down a bit. After explaining the situation, Asmodeus's face darkened.
"HEH HEH, ARE YOU TELLING THE TRUTH?"
Andrew was taken aback by the tone but nodded. Immediately, Asmodeus vanished. Just as Andrew sat down w/ Buckley, Asmodeus already came back.
"HEH HEE, IT IS DONE," Asmodeus said cryptically.
He then used his naked wing stalks to fly upstairs. Sighing, Andrew set Buckley down to the left and pulled out the journal. When Andrew opened it and flipped through, he cried even harder. The journal was Drake's and he detailed different parts of his life. Mostly, it described the things that Natas' had done to him over the years, some entries being too horrible to describe. The hardest part to read was that Drake hadn't always been so emotionally dead. At one point, he'd been more active and he did try to fight back against Natas. Some entries described Drake trying to get away. Others depicted him attempting to get people to help get Natas arrested or something else. Unfortunately, due to Natas' charisma and acting, no one believed Drake. Also, despite any planning and/or how much of a headstart Drake could get, Natas would always find him and drag him back home. Eventually, though, Drake gave up. In the journal, he stated that he didn't know what caused it. At one point, after a pretty hard hit to the head, Drake strangely felt... different somehow. Suddenly, the tortures didn't matter. Drake felt his emotions just... die that day. As for Alter, Drake didn't know where he came from. For as long as he knew, Alter had been attached to him, and neither knew why. Drake stated that he felt horrible for Alter, and he felt that Alter was too good to him. For Drake's human form, Drake discovered it when he concentrated a little too hard one time. It was shocking at first, but he got used to it. One other thing was that, for some reason, throughout the journal, Drake scribbled: "Dirty Mother Killer," much to Andrew's confusion. Another confusing part was that Drake mentioned at one point that the world felt very alien to him. The shops, school, and the overall city didn't feel right. Finally, there was one thing that both touched Andrew and broke his heart even further. The entries that clearly came after Andrew met Drake were hard to read. Drake kept on describing Andrew as an amazing person that Drake shouldn't ever be near. He kept writing about how great Andrew was while also writing about how weird Andrew made him feel. All the while, Andrew's name was put multiple times in a desperate, twisted way throughout the entries. By the end, Andrew was reduced to a blubbering mess as he clutched the book tightly to his chest. Buckley simply hugged him, not really understanding what was going on. Eventually, the parents and Azrael came back. When they saw Andrew crying while clutching the journal, Azrael quickly left. When Grey was about to talk to him, Cedric grabbed his shoulder and shook his head.
"He needs to let it out," Cedric said calmly, "We'll talk to him later."
Grey gave an unsure look before following Cedric up.
