The night brought chills, the sounds were haunting, the visions were nightmarish, Omni was plagued by terrible sights and sounds in his mind, blamed for what happened to her, that he was sorry for being too late, for letting her die, that he doesn't deserve to live in this world, yet in the darkness, he felt a warmth as his cheek was gently touched, his vision clearing as he looked up at a familiar smile that speaks to him.
Omni wakes up and looks around finding himself in a cave, he looked at himself and was surprised to find his wounds were gone, but also that he was still in this beast form, he had no idea how he changed into it or how to undo it, but he suddenly felt hungry as his instincts began to kick in, it was his first time walking through the forest as he felt strange, something inside welled up as he slowly walked and looked around.
A sensation pulsed through him while searching for food, he remembered it well as he slowly became more feral, his hearing, smelling and eyes were sharpening almost instantly as he started to prowl, he felt his body flow slowly to how it once done before, as he was starting to revert back to his primal instincts as his sense of being a warrior faded, as if over powered by his own judgement.
But suddenly heard a scream and splashing, it snapped him out of his focus as he goes to look, he sees someone in the river being washed away pleading for aid, he wanted to jump from how he looked, he feared they would hate and despise him but when hearing their scream again, he shook off his fear and jumped in the river, he sees the person then give up and sink as he dives under, biting the cloths to lift them up and continue on to the shore.
He lifted himself and the person on land, seeing that it was a young fox maiden appearing to be the daughter of a traveling merchant, he looked to her as he then sees her eyes open to see him, she wasn't scared but slightly reached towards him, but suddenly he looked away up river to hear others coming, so he looked to her and ran off into the woods, not knowing where he would go or live now, as he was nothing more than a wild beast, a monster.
