Optimistic if a bit withdrawn, these are the qualities that most would give to the young Sandile. Hailing from the Potbottom Desert, Zack traveled to the Pokecombat Academy on what he considers to be a fluke. Ending up in the wrong town due to a mix-up in flight schedules, he ended up in Viridian City where he immediately attended what he thought was his family's traditional public school they had been attending for generations. It was only after a month that the mix-up was discovered and despite a period of anxiousness on Zack's part the school found him suitable to stay, essentially earning him a free scholarship.

Always trying to look on the bright-side of things, Zack has a tendency to wear brightly colored shirts that he thinks match his outlook on life. However, this appearance could not be further from the truth. Zack is actually full of many doubts, from his friendships to his abilities, he worries constantly about how life is shaping up for him. As such, he finds it difficult to be aggressive towards his opponents on the match floor. Instead, he prefers to take on a supportive and restraining role for his teammates. A companionship that is rewarded by his teammates fiercely protecting him from his opponents in turn.

An otherwise average student, Zack carries a hope that maybe one of his teammates, a certain Typhlosion, will one day see him in the same light that he sees her.

In a world full of powerful beings, sometimes it's nice to just step back and take a look at the smaller characters. Zack here is definitely small, but he's got a spark in him that I feel could result in a really good story some day.
