So, as some of you know, my partner and myself have been struggling with the conditions of our apartment complex.
Long story short:
There is a pest problem that was allowed for most of the pandemic to grow. Pest control isn't even touching the problem and it has been MONTHS. Partner on worker's comp for past year making 2/3s income. I have a heart problem keeping me from being able to work. We have no family or friends to take us in here in the state. Apartment's failed in fixing problem with a drastic solution so we are being offered a way out of our lease. We can't afford to move.
We need help in any way we can so I have art commissions and options available as well as we are asking for any donations possible.

Long story long:
Our washers in the laundry room are infested with roaches. The roaches just walk through gaps in the walls between apartments, we have internal hallways and apartment entrances (think of it like a motel). We also have been struggling with bed bugs in our apartment complex. Almost every day there are box springs and mattresses out by the dumpsters, and every Tuesday pest control shows up to spray 6 units a building out of the 5 buildings on property. A lot of people here just live with the problem and don't allow anyone to treat their apartment. I know for a fact the person above us and the neighbor connecting to our bedroom wall doesn't allow pest control to come treat. We are the only unit on our side of the building that gets pest control treatment. Without others getting treated the problem will not be resolved.
We have already gone to the housing authority about it and that is the only reason our apartment has started being treated. We have been getting weekly treatments since the end of november, see here. Nothing has gotten better, if anything it has gotten worse. Yesterday instead of paying for an exterminator to spray our unit, the apartment managers had maintenance set off 13 real kill bug foggers in our 500sqft apartment. It took us from 10pm to 5am to clean up the layer of poison across the house so that our pets could come back inside. This was a last shot attempt by our apartments to "fix the problem" and if it didn't fix the pest problem we are being offered to move out before next month with no fee.
Less than 30 minutes after we finished setting the bedroom back up, we found bedbugs just living their life and happy as could be on the outside of our bed bug mattress protector, completely unaffected by the poison from the foggers. Today, roaches are just walking around our kitchen and bathroom like there was never poison in the house.
We can't keep living like this. We can't sanely sleep in the bedroom because we don't have a box spring since I accidentally broke the last one and our frame can't support just a mattress. We also don't want to buy a new one knowing that it will most likely just need to be thrown out when we move. For obvious reasons, sleeping on the mattress on the floor won't allow any rest as it would be a dinner bell to bed bugs.
For now we are sleeping on the couches in the living room. We know it isn't better but it allows some rest. As it is, we are not sleeping for 2 days, then sleeping 6-8 hours, then not sleeping for 2 days. We are exhausted and frustrations are running high. We will have to throw out all of our furniture and anything we can't heat treat ourselves. This means we basically get to keep our pet stuff, our clothes, and a glass table we have when we move.
Every monday we have to pack and deep clean our apartment up. Every Tuesday we have to be out of our apartment with our pets for 4-6 hours and we have to wash all of our bedding and clothing this day. After we can return on Tuesday, we have to clean the residual poison from the areas the pets walk in. Every Wednesday we unpack the things we need.
We have been able to use half of our 500sqft apartment we are paying $1200/mo for. We have 3 cats and a ball python in this situation with us.
I haven't been able to hold down a job since I got sick December 2019 and have been using my art as supplemental income, but it hasn't been much. My partner is on Worker's comp unemployment which is 2/3rds of his paychecks. He was already taking a loss while on light duty before his botched hernia surgery, so the pay the adjusters based his income on wasn't much. We make just enough to scrape by every month. Both of our US stimulus payments have mostly gone to back owed bills we had been putting off. We have no close friends or any family in the state and if we move out of state, my partner loses his worker's comp stuff that is taking care of him after he got hurt.
I appreciate every single one of you that read this and even if you can't help by donating, sharing my story will be a massive help to us.
Thank you everyone for taking your time to look at this!
Update 2/5/2021
We just found 3 bedbugs in the living room on the couches
We were able to catch one on tape and the other two just vanished into the void.
According to the apartments, "It's gotten better!" when we complain still.
They are still adamite on there being nothing else they can do other than having us pack up every tuesday for the same ineffective treatments as every week.
When we showed them the bedbug video from wednesday morning, we were told they would just spray again next tuesday and that is all they can do for us.
Update as of 08/04/2021
We have jumped through every hoop we have had in front of us, we've mailed letters, spoken to health department people, have inspectors and exterminators in and out of our apartment for too damn long now. We've been able to save up a bit from me working and Robert's workers comp checks more than we've been able to safe from my art commissions. Even though we have that, we still can't move. Our credit hit the dirt while we've been struggling, my truck needs new brakes (pads, rotors, and calipers), I need to get my tags and emission testing done on it, I need to get two teeth either pulled or worked on because they are literally falling apart, and my computer is falling apart. And that's just what's going on with me personally. Robert's phone got destroyed and he's been using a completely smashed screen, his glasses got dropped and slid across the parking lot so they don't sit on his face right and the lenses are scratched to hell, his boots are falling apart, none of his clothes that fit and don't hurt his stomach are falling apart and riddled with holes, the couch he sits and sleeps on is collapsing in the center and on one side, we need to get check ups on our cats and get their shots updated, we need to get our credit up to get into an okay apartment here in the Denver area (we can't leave the area bc worker's comp), we need to work on getting him a lawyer, we need to work on getting him his driver's license, and so much more.
At this point if we paid off everything we need to, we'd use all of the savings plus some at this point.

Cheap inflatable mattresses since they are bug proof, and critically, diatomaceous earth. You can get big bags of it on Amazon for cheap. This stuff will kill all of the bedbugs and roaches, yet is harmless to you and your pets unlike the poisons. Just don't inhale the dust while puffing it around. Wear a good mask or wet cloth over your nose and mouth until it settles.

This one is 5 lbs and comes with a puffer. All you need to do is put this around all the edges of the rooms, or any place the bugs need to crawl to get in or out. You can puff the whole bed too and it will kill the bedbugs. You can even mix some into a glass of water and drink it to help with certain internal problems. It kills insects mechanically. It scrapes the waxes off of their chitin shell causing them to dehydrate. It doesn't have a knock down effect like poison, but any insect that craws through this stuff is guaranteed to die later. Hopefully this helps you, and I am sorry about your situation. :/
*edited because that first URL was nasty long! It goes to Amazon.

Heya! This is the master post (That I forgot to post here like a dummy) that has all of the prehistory to us getting the apartments to call out an extermination company https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39255549/
We went through a whole bag of food grade diatomaceous earth and it did nothing all this time. There are just too many freely thriving in other people's apartments for our self treatments to work.

Wow that's incredible, there has to be a constant stream of them incoming for them to still be around after using that stuff. I've killed many types of insects in many places from mobile homes and RVs to houses with it. I guess if every apartment and the building themselves applied it it would work. Sounds like a plague over there. Sorry to hear. I hadn't seen that post, I had only seen the one without the meter and followed it back to this one.
You're more than okay!
That is unfortunately how bad this place is. It went from 4.4 stars on google to just about 2 over the past year and a half. We just got forced into a position where I don't make enough in art to consider income and with my partner being hurt, he can't do any more to provide for us.
Just a rock and a hard place kinda situation

Sorry to hear about this! No one should have to live in the conditions that you and your significant other are. While money is tight for me at the moment, I’ll definitely try to commission you when I can. In the meantime, I did a little bit of digging into seeing if there’s any way that you can get help through your state because of the nearly inhabitable conditions, and I’d honestly say that if it’s happening to other tenants and not just you guys, I’d not only call the state about it, but also the health inspector. I’ll include the link I found.

We did go the route of contacting the state and county about the conditions before and have been told that as long as the apartments are calling out an exterminator, they are working on it and we just have to wait it out. (I keep forgetting to put this link in the post https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39255549/ )
The landlord has been informed many times with what is going on in our unit. Property management doesn't care. We are going to try to contact the tri county health department and housing authority again to see if they can do anything more for us than what is already being done.
Thinking about it now, moving out is probably the only option now anyway. With how much shit they've been spraying locally it's no wonder you immediately get bed bugs again, the things are probably resistant to the poison by this point. Well played, housing authority. Also your neighbors are absolutely disgusting, I don't usually wish people health problems but I hope they get health problems. And insurance should deny them treatment.
