credit where credit is due, you make some cool shit, and you are anal about details on your gun models. I like that.

Can't tell you how many times I've watch some bullshit hollywood movie and see someone running around with a 1911 and the hammer down, or the bolt forward on a cheap submachinegun. Problem is, the same people who watch those movies are the people who write the gun laws.

Just because Pmags are this flavor of the month, doesn't mean its the best out there. C-products stainless steelmags and HK maritime stainless mags have a better crack and jam resistance than those polymer mags.

anything is an upgrade from the GI buy-em-in-a-bucket bent feed lip specials. :P

not trying to start a row, but i have a different philosophy. I just buy a handful of Mec Gar mags (where applicable) and I'm good for the life of the gun (ie virtually forever)

Few things piss me off more than a mag-related jam from something that wasn't manufactured decently.

I'd even go as far as to say the stock mags are one of the weakest links of the AR platform, IMO

Yeah, theyve got the improved followers at my local gunshop for something like $1.25 or some insignificant amount, next time I go I was planning on replacing all my green followers with those. But under no circumstances will I ever use a plastic magazine.

There's a reason I own no glocks. Polymers have come a long way int he last 30 years, but I still like wood, blued steel, and a double action hammer I can put my thumb on. Personal preference.

Trust me I don't fanboy any particular company i just buy and sell who has the best made product. Having sold a lot of PMAGs they were simply what people wanted to buy and everyone who bought some came back to buy more and raved about them. Don't even sell the old style surplus mags anymore because there were nothing but complaints about them being jam fests. I realize most people are stupid... but yeah

and frankly, no matter who makes them or out of what, a proper mag should be able to be stored 100% loaded for 50 god damn years without any special cover to relieve the pressure (pmag) and without deforming or cracking. Its really not a lot to ask, just some proper fucking engineering and better materials.

Me likes. I have plenty of aluminum mags along with Pmags to hold me out. Yeah, the Pmags are good and all, but I would have a conniption if I ever lose one- losing a USGI sum. mag? Not so much.
