This. I deal with this everyday believe it or not.

Some people will view an honest mistake as a dishonest attempt to cheat/cut corners/abuse your position. The kneejerk may be understandable, though unnecessary and hurtful. One would hope that your subsequent attempt to rectify the mistake would be proof enough that you didn't intend it, and the offended party would change their tune.

Or, IDK, like, we could all just mob people on Twitter at the first sign that they might not be a paragon of virtue. That's really more fun~
