I don't remember when was the last time i had it that way..before I drew out these 2 pieces of kiriban for em. :3

take a piece or printing paper and fold it in half. rest it under your hand next time. it will save a lot of smearing and re-shading. ^^

i don't know how many times i have stopped drawing to see i got a half black palm, but this idea stopped it and got rid of most of the darkening of the whole picture the smearing causes. also, i use h2 lead. it is harder than normal lead. no as easy to shade with, but not as easy to smear either. ^^

I stick to my...mechanical pencil..which is 2B.. ^^;; I do have a set of pencils with different grades...rarely use em. XDDDD

hahaha, all my work is done is h2 lead. i don't have a special pencil exactly, just an old one i've been keeping around. ^^

i agree with the smear shading style, but i like using my thumb and dragging lightly tell i get the color variation i line. it's just a little more controlled is all. still, your style is your style and i so won't complain about that. <3
