This is my first and main character for any written roleplay I do, Silver. It's nothing all that special, just a sketch I did in an hour or so. Silver is a maned wolf, which is considerably different in appearance from a normal one. Though this picture has no color, they bear a red-orange color in their fur, white mixed in, and with a black mane along the backbone with erectile hairs. They also have typically big ears, which he was often teased for when he was still a cub and still does in his adulthood, occasionally. Still, he's a regularly cheerful and humorous fur with a heart that bleeds too much for his own good. His species is also distinctively tall, him being nearly six feet. (A real maned wolf is a meter high, like a great dane.) He's rarely seen without the silver ring he carries on his neck, which people assume may be why he is so named.
The ring, which presumably belonged to one of his parents, was first given to him when he was still living at his childhood orphanage, which he refused to leave for many years longer than the other cubs, feeling attached to the place as his home. Regardless, he eventually accepted a pair of foster parents, then a few years after, another couple. He regretably had to change hands to another family after an industrial accident resulted in the death of his foster father, which was followed several months later by a non-fatal one which hospitalized his mother. He was finally adopted officially by a fourth set of parents, which was the family that stuck and raised him until he was old enough to be on his own. When people learn about this history, they often express sympathy for him, but Silver is actually grateful for the multiple families he was raised by and how he learned something different from each one. The unknown circumstances of his biological parents don't tend to weigh on him either, as he believes the ring he was left with suggests that there was more to it than him simply being abandoned.
There are three main things that Silver loves, those being his friends, having fun, and sex. He's not afraid to show any of them either. His attraction has always gone toward other males, with no reasonable sign that this would change anytime in his life. His best friend is a micro husky called Lumber, with whom he frequently spends time, cares for, and LOVES to snuggle with. He loves to cuddle with any warm, soft guy in general, but something about Lumber's small size makes him the most fun. And wow! You read this far down. If you were un-lazy enough for that, then maybe you'd also be kind enough to leave a comment? :3
