Well, I had no intention of publicly posting another page of the book this soon... but with my last journal entry the cat was out of the bag for this page already. Plus I really really like this page... it's my favorite one so far.
About the Doedicurus:
The doedicurus is a now extinct relative of modern day armadillos and sloths. They resembled car-sized armadillos with a spiked mace on the end of their tails.
They lived about 10,000 years ago during the ice age and were probably hunted by early humans, which expalins the caveman elements. I'm assuming that it's probably easier to be brave when evolution blessed you with a natural set of plated armor! She would have no trouble going up against a large animal like a mammoth!
She was a challenge to draw because when I looked up the species, there were so many damn variations on what they looked like.
LOL... no, this book dosen't just have extinct animal species in it. There are plenty of species that will be represented in the book that are still around today. ^^
You probably won't be seeing another page of the book until around the middle of the alphabet.
