And I cant make it this year - Fuuuucccc....)
God I love good hand crafted beers.
Here in the PNW where I live, its rich in many things, the most notable is the Seattle "coffee" scene, of that I love, but its also rich in brewing and the art of brewing beers. Im lucky in that where I live, Im withing walking (and coming back, staggering) distance of two such brew pubs, and withing driving range of a short radius of about 20 miles, there are many many more. Silver City, Eleysians, Pikes, et al... Some world class brews are all over Washington, and moving south to our border state Oregon, they have just as many and just as good.
I moved to Washington for the coffee, I stayed for the beer.
I think I just gained a new tagline 8=)

That is an incredible image, Fluke. This is the kind of thing I like to find when looking for furry wallpaper for my phone or computer. <3
I really don't know what to say, pup. The lighting, the expression, all the typically-scrutinized parts of the image are wonderful. What I like is the simple, casual clothing, as well as the "glow" that seems to come off of the subject. Just gorgeous.

The cold one alone doesn't cut it. Now a cold one right after a hot sauna-session whilst watching the Sun setting and munching on a sausage (mustard and/or ketchup optional) cooked in tin foil on the rocks... Now THAT is living.
The art, however, in this particular piece is quite pleasing to the eye.

Nice panorama, again...
Reminds me of Alfred Wolfenstein's "Städter", somehow, having a passage (freely translated) like
"They're watching in the sunny dusk-
it has a strong wine's taste..."
And yet, there he sits alone, enjoying (or not?) his beer...
Do I really have to say something about the character itself? Not rallly, right?

...In fact, now I've gotten over the initial HOLYSHIT factor...it's the character and the foreground lighting that really, REALLY makes this stand out. There are a few people out there who can make staggeringly beautiful backgrounds, but virtually none who can make background and foreground interact in such an aesthetically perfect way.
