After the sheep we had last year, we arn't getting any more. Those things had no brains at all. One of them accidentally strangled the other one. The other one usually has enough brains to get away from the rope.

... How did a sheep manage to choke another sheep to death with a rope...? This is a story I must hear! :D

I am oddly happy for somebody about to be told a story about sheep murder. XD

I wasn't there at the time that it happened, so some of this is only a guess. But, anyway, they were large enough (about 50 pounds) to be placed on the concrete block diet. This means that each of the sheep gets its own two blocks to be tied to. They have a large barrel between them to drink out of. We normally give them just enough room between eachother to not get caught in one another's rope. But someone made a three inch mistake allowing one sheep to get around the other if the other is taking a drink. The rope caught on the other sheep's neck and pinned it to the water barrel. And the dead sheep didn't seem to have put up a fight because there were no marks in the ground.

So the other sheep got strangled because it had it's neck between the barrel and the rope because the first sheep encircled the second one while he was drinking because someone made a measurement error.
