I was a little inspired by a story snippet of 
VossFiction and really wanted to draw it out, so that's what I did.
Suddenly growing to a giant size in the middle of a city isn't quite the best thing to happen out of the blue. Let alone if the streets are narrow, you're still growing, and the people you're trying so hard not to accidentally step on are much more interested in standing and staring than actually fleeing to a safe distance!

Figures, when you want the crowds to run away they get closer! Can't imagine why they'd do that... ahem.
And you know, a giant who's trying not to squash folks should realize footwear is dangerous. Much easier to tell that someone's ended up underpaw before it's too late if you can feel them! ...Then again, that would have the drawback of making some people want to get even closer.
