I am aware that I might be taken as the asshole here, but I am really curios, as to what makes people post something as pointless as "heh". I mean, I have seen similar comments by the hundreds, I couldn't even image posting something like it, when your feedback doesn't even come far enough to be an actual word, what lets someone post something like this? It's really more a matter of curiosity than trying to be rude here. Trying to understand people's intentions behind something, that I don't understand so far.
While I might use a similar reply on a chat conversation between friends, I doubt that short, single words or acronyms have a good use in an email or open posting venue like this.
As to Heh in particular, I think it's effectively a lesser form of lol, saying that you are amused, but not necessarily laughing (or rolling on the floor, laughing...)
