Back in the day I used to do this stuff called street art. My college commissioned me to do a piece. This was the beginning of nearly a year of experimentation in production methods other than stencils/spray paint and methods to place the art in public without damaging.
Call it minimizing the footprint of the art.
This is still up at my old college, just in a different location.
Retired in 2009, thinking of coming back.
