I didn't do as much linework on this painting as I normally would. The background was a bit more detailed in the drawing, but I think I was afraid of messing it up, so I kept it kind of vague.

I am keeping my colors limited in an attempt to keep the painting harmonious.. I tend to make my paintings too saturated, so keeping the overall scene muted with a few splashes of bright color is my current strategy.

I am very happy with this style of illustration.. I feel like I may finally be hitting my stride :3
