
Here the shank ready to get put into the ripping frame on the D-8. It's one of those things that you don't do by yourself... a crane is required, it's something shy of 800 pounds. The redesign will be about 150 pounds lighter.

I'm just looking at the total lack of wear on the shank above the tooth, it really does only ever see hard rock, haha
ETA: Oh, you're probably just gonna make them shorter, don't gotta have a couple feet of plate sticking up out of the top if all they ever do is scratch at the surface.

Hehe I understand I've seen things like that. It's a mad scramble with no rime or reason, all of a sudden things are done and it leaves you wondering how did they do that.
I have watched them swap out an unlimited hydroplane engine in seven minutes. That's the time from the boat hitting the cradle to the boat hitting the water. It was another one of those mad scrambles.
