Silver staggered up finding herself back in her den, her legs stung after the last training session with Plague, Silver noticed Jay sorting through her items, Silver smiled.
"You're doing well in you're training Jay!" Jay looked surprised before turning around, his ears raised with pride.
"Thanks! I'm glad I'm not scewing anything up!" Jay said his voice filled with pride. Silver quickly shape shifted into her human form.
"Feel free to go play with Apple now!" Silver said
"I can handle the rest from here!" Jay nodded and stumbled out of her tent. Silver began to look through what he was sorting through.
"Yup everything seems to be in the correct place" Silver thought to herself before getting up, a pain in her chest began to start again as she saw Rot.
"Oh great him!" Silver snarled to herself before walking out of her tent. Silver began to walk into the forest, she could tell spring was gonna come soon. She looked around surprised as a familiar scent began to fill her nostrils, blood. The scent was also mixed with the scent of a fox, Silver couldn't make out whether or not she knew the fox. Silver followed the scent.
"Someone must be in a fight, or worse..." Silver shook her head not wanting to think about it and just prepare herself for what she might see.
The scent had stopped at the river, Silver looked up. Horror filled her body as she noticed a familiar shape lying on the ground.
"Raven!" Silver shrieked running to her partner's side.
Raven's stomach had a cut running from her neck to her stomach. Blood still oozing out, Raven's one good eye was glazed over and dull.
Silver desperately began to try and look for any sigh of life, but Raven's had been long dead.
"No! No! No! No! No! No! This isn't real! It can't be, Raven wake up!! Silver wailed, Raven didn't respond. Every passing second felt like hours. Eventually she heard someone behind her.
" Silver what happened! " Sparrow said his voice shaken with shock and anger
"I don't know!" Silver said her voice shaking with despair. Silver looked up at Sparrow after a minute. As she recalled Plague's words
"There's a fox wandering around your territory, you might wanna stop them someone might get hurt"
Silver looked down in frustration.
"Whichever fox who did this, Will pay!" Silver thought to herself. Silver felt Sparrow's hand on her shoulder.
"We'll have to bring her back to camp before we bury her.." Sparrow's voice shook with grief. Silver nodded
The two slowly dragged Raven's limp body back to their camp, when they finally reached camp Silver felt everyone's eyes burn into them as they whispered among themselves. Dark Pit walked towards Sparrow.
"What happened?!" Silver couldn't make out the emotion in Dark Pit's eyes.
"We don't know, she was found dead near the river.." Sparrow said putting Raven's lifeless body down. Dark Pit went silent, studying Raven's injuries.
"It must have been a fox or cat of some sort judging by the claw marks." Dark Pit pointed out, Silver kept her head down trying to block out all the sounds. She couldn't even mange to remain in her human form. Dark pit looked at Silver.
"We're gonna have to bury her, are you gonna be able to come?" Dark Pit said his tone serious. Silver nodded.
"This is just a dream right.?" The hope silently rang on and on in her head. But every passing minute she didn't find herself sleeping next to Raven. Silver had to stop herself from shaking as they buried Raven.
"I'll miss you if you can hear me now Raven.?" Silver whispered to herself.
Silver found herself sitting by where they had buried Raven even after everyone had left, eventually she curled up and covered her nose to try and sleep. Silver couldn't even try to convince herself this was a nightmare, it was real. Raven was dead and she couldn't do anything about it.
"Out of everyone? Why her!" Silver whimpered.
