Say hello to Haroum, He's the latest member of my cabal of characters relating to my character lore etc. We almost have an entire cinematic universe at this point. Regarding the locations Im almost done with the map so bare with me hahaha.
He's a white panther from the savage wilds, more particuarly the felidae tribelands, who was kidnapped as a child by the shark pirates of the Barbary Coast (who had occupied and settled the coastal areas) and raised as one of their own. He would grow up as a cutthroat and a thief within the dirty slums occupied by traffickers and pirates who raided ships heading for the Cape Camoran. He would eventually grow to be an agile and skilled fighter, thanks to training from his kidnappers and becoming a buccaneer himself. He would participate in daring raids and pirate battles, but eventually would be conscripted towards efforts of pushing back the felines deeper in the jungle. After being turned against his own people by what he now considered his family, the traumatized white panther deserted everything he knew and fled into the jungles.
In this new chapter of his life, he struggled to survive on his own knowing his own kind would not accept him. He dressed and acted more like a pirate, and he failed at basic survival skills such as hunting because of his silver white fur which provided little to no camouflage in the dense jungles. Starving and isolated, he heard a weak voice call out to him. It was a creature of the void, made of dark goo with bright blue eyes. It was shriveled and miserable, a state similar to the panther's own. Despite knowing better, he accepted the creature's offer of symbiosis in exchange for self-preservation. The void symbiote would be granted a body to inhabit and he would gain its alien power. As it crawled over him, an alien warmth washed over his body as he was engulfed in the tarlike substance. When he awoke, he found himself with black layer of goo on his body, faster, stronger, and more astute. He came to revel in his new abilities and finally manage to survive the harsh wilderness of his homeland. He and this alien entity, which had introduced itself as Satrus, were perfect for another and adopted a permenant symbiotic relationship.
Together... they would be more powerful, a creature to fear. Someone who had the power to command respect, and dominate his opponents. Rather than embracing his roots as a thief and criminal, he pledged himself to defending his people, watching over them from the shadows. The symbiote, despite its chaotic void nature, came to respect the creature it had bonded to and is now a sort of pet for the panther who accepts as an extension of himself despite the sneers and warnings of his collagues. His travels across the Savage Wilds eventually joining forces with the tribal kingdom of Pirras led by the brave Atticus in their attempt to unify the Felidae people. The great chief was doubtful of him at first (especially when finding out the source of his power originated form the void), but quickly came to recognize Harouns potential. He would be tasked with utilizing his unorthodox abilities to strike deep into the heartlands of the corrupted Felidae and the vicious coastal pirates.
Fun Fact: Satrus is a similar entity to Thraxis (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38612953/) as its also an exile of the plane of magic otherwise known as the void. Void creatures can't manifest in the mortal plane easily without a constant source of magic or a host to utilize as they are a sort of goo elemental. Thraxis decided to seal his power in a helm to possess mortals while Satrus chose to bond with Haroum in self preservation. Satrus could have chosen to usurp Haroum in a similar way that Thraxis does to his victims, but angry at the void for abandoning him he instead chose a different path of cooperation and aiding the mortals against his kind. Though it hasnt really tempered its more... chaotic aspects.
