
This is what happens when you don't have patience when making art.
This was a gouache relief piece for
apollowolfhusk that I fantastically ruined by being impatient. I painted the gouache on the watercolor paper (made the gouache too thin, should have had it thicker) and waited about an hour for it to dry (should have let it dry longer, closer to two hours or longer). I applied the ink to it (too small of a brush and consequently let the ink pool (hence the line/streaking). Didn't wait very long for the ink to dry, so some of the ink washed off when I washed the piece.
So now I'm left with a mess on an expensive piece of paper. Better luck next time.

Its good to learn to let things go. I'm over it. I was annoyed when I washed it away and realized I had fucked up majorly, but ya know, it's just stupid art on a piece of paper. If I got upset over this, I'd be living pretty stupidly. Gotta know when to let something go and start over again. Even when you did a lot of work to get there.
