On the surface, Facet looks as if she had briefly left the factory lines. Even after two years after being bought off, she still has that exact same drive and emotion as a brand new space exploration ship, ready for their next journey. The older and larger ships are jealous of the resolve the little DBX has, often teasing and intimidating her with their massive number of light-years traveled on record and the dangers that arise from exploring deep space... But that doesn't matter to her! The Galaxy has only been barely scratched and she's more than ready to spend her life out in the dark expanse, or as she calls it: "Her true Home"
Sporting a lightweight hull, excellent heat management, and a Frame-Shift drive that far outclasses any ship in her category, Facet likes to think she is the ultimate shortstack explorer. She had already reached the rank of pathfinder within her first two years of exploring towards the deep. Hundreds of systems reign under her wings, and hundreds more she will claim. All in the sake of sating her never-ending hunger to be out in space, closer to the center of the galaxy, where millions of stars would surround her, and she would visit every single one of them if she could!~
I've been playing a lot of Elite Dangerous and by far, the Diamondback Explorer is my go-to exploration ship. Sure it's not got the top tier gear that most YouTubers and hardcore Commanders have, but I don't mind! ((Its honestly hilarious watching boomers go ballistic because I put mining lasers on my ship))
I really don't care if I have the best or worse internal upgrades, and I don't care about the pay for exploration. Being able to fly my own little ship inside of an infinitely expanding galaxy is more than enough to sate my thirst for space travel. I love every single system I come across and I'm excited to find every promising and exciting moon or planet that could be a generation's home someday in the far far FAR future!
And I'll take my little Facet everywhere with me!~I hope you enjoy this sorta new chibi look to my aeromorphs. Cute is so much my style and I've had so much inspiration for chibi plane girls because of

Props to Elite: Dangerous for making such an awesome game! Sure they've had hiccups but it's still a fantastic game! I can't wait for future expeditions!

As adorable as she is, the Asp Explorer will always be the girl for me.
This is the second time I've seen someone draw Aeromorph versions of Elite Dangerous ships, The first being VonKickass for anyone curious and coincidently, I just so happen to be playing ED as of typing this. XD
I will agree. MisokatsuGozen does really cute plane anthros and I think you did a wonderful job capturing his style here, this definitely has put you on my radar. Always nice to see more diverse Aero art.
I'm now curious as to what the other ships will look like in this new style your trying out. So long as they're SFW like this, I'm looking forward to it.

I've seen a few DiamondBack Explorer Bounty Hunting builds in my days, never really thought the little ship could do all that very well to be honest!
Unfortunately, Facet doesn't have the parts necessary to be a combat ship. At least she does have little run-ins with Thargoids from time to time around the edges of the galaxy!

(Mainly plays as a Bounty Hunter) similar to that although I've played long enough so that I could've used an Anaconda or a Fed. Corvette. I'm sticking with my Krait MkII because...
(Also, I'm NOT taking purchase cost and "upkeep"/Rebuy into account)
1. Alot of slots would likely be underutilized/remain empty
2. Even with the best Thruster modification, the Fed. Corvette (on paper at least) are still too sluggish for my liking.
3. The overall size would result in the hardpoints being placed further apart. Which in turn, makes it harder to aim against smaller targets with Fixed Weapons.
4. I usually get the best results with Large Weapons over Huge Weapons
