While happy to hear you're going to keep drawing the sexy centaur propaganda Andalites, I do SERIOUSLY enjoy this. It brings me back, waaaaaaaaay back to when I was reading the books for the first time and before I had the chance to see the cover art of Ax's first book. God.... that was actually two decades ago now. Point is, this is closer to what I'd envisioned, although being six I thought the stalks were actual horns that simply rotated instead of being fleshy.
It has been so long now that you mention it, the stalks are described more like horns are they? I could see how a kid could get them confused. I am very visual, so all the covers with centaurs switchblades definitely colored my mental image of them. I feel like there is contradictions in their descriptions as well. Like their back are suppose to be angled making riding difficult, but Loren and Elfangor made it work.
