It's about damn time!! I've needed real references for Shira's armor for a LONG time! Not that I don't love the original sketches, that's still my absolute favorite <3 but it's nice to have something that isn't as left to the imagination!

Aaaaaand about the armor itself, here's a little description and backstory!
Left - Casual wear/roguish armor. This is what she's most likely to wear outside of combat, whether it be for making an appearance somewhere she feels safe enough to not go full plate, OR when she wants to be more stealthy. Far more likely to appear in a more casual setting, when there isn't need for a powerful presence. Plate metal is a little too heavy and a little too noisy to wear on covert missions, you know? Though a tyrannical crusader hellbent on revenge and destruction like Shira doesn't often have much need for stealth, and most appearances she makes she prefers to make, well, an impression, so this setup isn't used or seen nearly as much as her other suits.
Right - Knight's armor. Before Shira was a blackguard, she was a knight. She really wasdumb of ass and pure of heart, honestly. She studied, practiced, trained under the banner of a now long forgotten kingdom, to which she had sworn her fealty and her sword to. Yes, sword. The morning star flail came after her fall, and she fought with a two handed sword during this time. Much of the art you see of her in this armor is before she became a blackguard, though even then she was still a fierce combatant and a force to be reckoned with. And even after the betrayal of her king and country, she's a very sentimental lion. She kept the armor, and sometimes even thinks back fondly on what it meant to wear it, and what she had accomplished in it. Truly, she would never have come to be in her current position of power had it not been for what she'd learned, and the events that unfolded while fighting in this armor. So she keeps it, if nothing else for the memories of happier times when her world was a little bit happier, and she was a little more blissfully ignorant of how cruel those you trust can be.
Middle - Oathbreaker’s Revelation. Probably her most iconic armor. Full plate armor forged from cursed dark iron and enchanted heavily for protection and causing enemies pain, it was taken after herfall enlightenment, and it’s a major symbol of her transformation from pitiful yet respected knight to feared and powerful blackguard. A symbol of might, worn by someone who should be revered and given a far berth, if you don’t want to be cut down in your place. She wears this when she wants to make a far more dynamic appearance, for more public meetings, and in battle. The spikes on the arms and shoulders are both stylish and for function. The ones on her collar are shaped so that any blade that goes for her throat is stopped or redirected, and those on her arms can be used to deal damage, OR to block and parry blows she can’t counter with a mace. When blocking a strike with a sword, if she twists the blade the right way, she can even disarm her opponent. Spikes on the fists are for when she herself is without weapon, and those on her legs are for playing dirty. If you’re battling her on a mount, best prepare and make sure your horse is armored, because sometimes all it takes is a well-aimed slice from the blades on her greaves to take an entire mount to the ground. No boots - cats fight with the claws on their back legs after all.
