GPIM Haywood Community: Hitting the Beach, Part 1 (10)
Series Contains: male TF, donkey TF, slow TF, instincts, mental changes, willing, casual and public nudity, casual and public sex, gay sex, slice-of-life, romance, plot heavy, worldbuilding heavy
So, I'm back from my GPIM break sooner than expected, mostly because this chapter didn't want to end and became ridiculously long. So because of natural breakpoints and at the suggestion of a friend, I've turned it into a multipart arc that will hopefully bridge the time until the next, extra-special chapter is ready. In the meantime, these beach chapters were meant to be fun and not really serious but, somehow, deep character talks, set-ups for future chapters, hits for questions you've been asking kept popping in. Not that the chapters aren't a lot of fun too, but they aren't the filler I expected.
I want to give a shout-out and thanks to :verath: for reviewing parts of these chapters, especially the opening scene, and helping me nail the intention I wanted. Also a thanks for all the brainstorming, suggestions, and discussion. :verath: brought a lot of ideas to the table when I was drawing blanks and his ideas have not only made this chapter better but also at least one upcoming chapter will be that much more *ahem* impactful, because of a suggestion I used. And, I'll even specify that it's the third chapter after the beach concludes (assuming none of them turn multi-part).
Speaking of
verath, I'm honored to be able to say that :verath: has started writing his own story in my GPIM. The first chapter of :verath:'s New Horizons series is already posted and you should definitely go and check it out. The writing is superb, the characters are endearing and incredible, he's making great additions to the setting, and he manages to capture the one thing I can't: concise-ness.

I'm saying that it's bold of you to tell the author he's in denial. I admire it, don't get me wrong. But I know how it falls and reasons that might change your assessment.
However, I'm not commenting on the correctness or incorrectness of your claim.
I'm going to have fun with shippers like you until then. And not just in the comments, as the next few chapters will show. ;)

I'm not sure I like this talk of Jack getting sick again. Either Jack is being poisoned/poisoning himself or he's deliberately making himself sick in protest or an effort to be changed back due to a declared medical emergency. At least, that's my guess so far. We'll have to see how things continue to progress.
I wonder if the rest of Jack's family are just waiting on his dad to go feral so they can do their own thing without all the jackassery that Joe seems to bring to the table. *Shudders* I can't help but wonder what happened to make him like this in the first place. I would assume he used to be a better parent and husband when he first started.
As for the rest, I look forward to seeing how htings develop on this beach trip. And I assume the donkeys pulling the carriage were probably residents pulling shifts and still sapient as they did so. It makes sense some of the donkeys would have jobs on the island after changing if they asked for them.
