Truck drivers only tell you something is after it becomes a bigger issue...
This is one of those... "Hey Kriss there is a crack on the gate piller of the white Mack."
Oh boy... more fun outside.

I work in IT.
This problem is in no way unique to truck drivers.
"Hey Red, I can't open PDF files."
"Okay, I'm setting up a Webex meeting for the CFO right now, please put in a ticket and I'll get to it right as soon as I'm done, or maybe Blue will pick it up if he's not busy and you'll be done quicker.."
"It's an emergency. There's finance info I need in this document."
"That's cool. CC your supervisor and I'll personally make sure they understand the situation is technical in nature and not your fault."
"No, you don't understand, I'm overdue."
"Okay, how overdue are you?"
"Two weeks."
"You haven't been able to open PDF files for two weeks and you're just now telling me?"
"Well, actually, it hasn't worked for about six months. And it's really serious. Nobody can get anything done."
"Wait, 'nobody'? How many people are having this issue?"
"The entire accounts receivable department."
"And not a one of you thought it might be a good idea to tell IT... Oh, I dunnow... Five and a half months ago?"
"Yeah."
"You realize the CFO is in a presentation with the board of directors, and if I have to interrupt helping her with that as an excuse, we're *both* losing our jobs, right?"
"Oh, Well, when you put it that way, it can wait until the meeting is finished."
