In a not-so-far future, the wealthiest individuals, so wealthy they aren't even part of the 1%, have united to ensure they hold total control of the world. With each of them having crushing influence on anything they own, this is a very sensitive alliance we're talking about, where the slightest act of greed or compassion could lead to an apocalyptic mayhem.

Zoly owns all existing real estate. You think you own your house ? Zoly owns the land it sits on. Did you read the tiny note at the bottom of your contract ? Just because you need a microscope to read it doesn't mean it isn't valid. Don't worry, she made homelessness illegal with the help of Mack, so if she evicts you and tears down your house to build a 3 mile high statue of her, you'll have a warm jail cell waiting for you.

Mack will keep you safe and make sure you're never out of work. This gun nut brings peace around the world by going at war against the right people. The machines must keep running you know, for the sake of national security and justice. Speaking of justice, he's in charge of that too, so behave. Oh, and he brought back slavery, because unpaid labor is great for the economy, and prisoners always have something to do. It's a win-win.

Barb's charm brought her to the top. This literal icon is so beloved that the whole showbiz industry grovells at her feet, seeking her widsom and image. She has the ultimate say on what's not and what's good to show off on your TV, what's worth playing on the radio, and how pretty someone must be to even be acknowledged by society. I heard the sister of the therapist of her former bodyguard is signing autographs.

The Connection is a mandatory ally you must have if you ever wanna get on this level. It's easy to forget that cops, judges and politicians can actually arrest you when you've had them under your thumb for so long. This where The Connection shines, figuratively of course. Keep your mouth shut, pay the tab in time and he'll solve any problem you have, no matter how much blood must be spilled in the process. Your hands are clean, fella.

Lucy is the wild card of the 0%, going places through nothing but sheer luck and good fortune. She is so lucky that almost nobody dares defying her, with only a few fools trying, and failing to outmatch her and her twisted games. Now owner of the most profitable casino of the multiverse, she doesn't need to raise the stakes anymore and yet she does. Money flows to her while unlucky gamblers lose it all. The House always wins.

I've been discussing this whole thing and these characters with friends on Discord and I'm liking how it's coming out. It was also a little exercise of style, trying to go easy on details and sticking to more iconic, silhouette friendly designs. I'm definitely developing this little project further in the future.
