(Chester)
When Chester slid his way downstairs, he peeked into the kitchen. There were two, strange white bags on the table, and Geoff was setting up some sort of machine. Chester tiptoed forward as Thread peeked his tiny head out of Chester's shoulder fur.
"What's that?" Chester asked.
"A coffee machine," Geoff said w/o turning.
Chester looked down at the bags.
"And these?" Chester asked while gesturing to the bags.
Geoff turned at that.
"Those are my groceries."
Suddenly, Chester looked at the bags hungrily and pushed his index fingers together.
"Can I have some..., please?" Chester asked timidly.
Geoff was about to protest before he thought of something.
"I have some chips in there. You can have them, but in exchange, you'll have to answer some more questions. Ok?"
Chester nodded vigorously and searched through the bags. After a bit, he found the salt and vinegar chips. Tearing open the pack, Chester began to stuff the chips in his mouth holes as he sat in a too-small chair. As for Thread, he bit into Chester's pelt, lapping up the gooey blood as usual. Once the coffee was ready, Geoff sat down too and sipped.
(Chester and Geoff)
"Question one, why the fuck do you have a spider living in your fur?"
Chester giggled w/ food still in his mouth.
"I've known him since I was ten," Chester explained, "Thread crawled on me while I was drawing one day. He ended up biting me but felt sick for a bit afterward. I wrapped Thread in a napkin and kept him safe while hoping for the best. After a while, he felt better! Thread also looked and acted different and after that, we became friends! I mean, sure, he bites me every now and then to suck my blood, and he makes webs in my fur, but I don't mind :}!"
After hearing that, Geoff looked down at his coffee suspiciously.
Somebody had to have spiked my coffee at some point, I fucking swear... Geoff thought.
"Ok, then..., question two, how are you still alive despite being here alone since you were six?"
Chester chuckled while stuffing more chips in his stringy maw.
"My dad taught me how to live alone. It's part of a game we're playing. The day my daddy left, he taught me how to 'man the house.' He showed me how to sneak around and take food from stores, he showed me how to use my powers, and he even gave me part of himself before he left ^w^"
Geoff gave a weird look.
"Dafuq do you mean by 'he gave you a part of himself?'"
"You see how I'm all slimy? My dad made me like this before I left."
Geoff cringed at that statement.
"Chester, you're dad sounds a very shitty person."
At that, Thread began to hiss. Chester's expression went stoic and he cocked his head. Suddenly, every door in the house shut itself, and Geoff was levitated straight up! Panicking, Geoff immediately began to apologize.
"I'm sorry, it just slipped out! I take it back!"
Slowly, things went back to normal. The doors opened back up, and Geoff was gently lowered back into the chair. Once that episode was done, Chester's expression shifted back to happy-go-lucky.
"Next question :3?" Chester asked as if nothing had happened.
Geoff grimaced.
This fucker...
"Question... four, what's in the fourth room upstairs? It was the only one I haven't checked out."
Chester continued to munch on his chips.
"That's daddy's room. Stay out of it."
Geoff sighed but knew better than to argue.
"Question five, aside from your bed, are there any other beds I can use?"
Chester giggled.
"No, but you can use mine. I sleep underneath it anyway."
"Why?" Geoff asked.
Chester shrugged w/ a doofy smile.
"I'm too big for that thing. Plus, my dad encouraged me to sleep underneath."
Geoff was about to say something negative about Chester's dad again. Chester, predicting this, went stoic again and Thread hissed in warning, which shut Geoff up real quick. The table was let down at this.
"Last question, you do know that taking food from stores is wrong, right?"
Chester got a weird look.
"Is it?"
Geoff facepalmed.
"Holy fuck, this guy..." Geoff muttered.
He lowered his hand.
"If I agree to get both of us jobs to earn money, will you agree to not steal anymore? I don't want either of us to get into deep shit for this |:l."
"I... guess... so? What's a job, though?"
Geoff clapped his hands together and breathed in hard.
FUCK... ME... Geoff thought.
He then took out a flask and spiked the coffee a bit. Geoff downed the rest of his coffee.
"Fuck, that is some good ass joe..."
Chester gave a curious look.
"What was thaaat?"
"Elixer of fucking life for people like me. Don't touch it. Matter of fact, don't touch ANY of my coffee," Geoff warned, "You can touch anything else, but keep your paws off my damn coffee. It's the shit that keeps me going."
Chester laughed distortedly at that.
"You talk funny!"
"Speak for yourself..." Geoff muttered.

(Geoff and Chester)
The rest of the day wasn't spent doing much. Geoff simply spent time checking the house out (barring the dad's room, of course). Chester, the whole time, was in a playful mood. He constantly baited Geoff into playing games w/ him. At first, Geoff brushed the baiting off. Eventually, though, he caved. Tiredly, Geoff humored Chester. Chester mainly played hide-and-seek, tag, and patty cake. While Geoff wasn't really into it, he wasn't going to see his friends or look for a job until the next day, so he would've been bored otherwise. As for Chester, he was having the time of his life! He'd never had a "person" friend before, and Geoff was so fun to him! For dinner, the two had cold bacon and cheese sandwiches, which Chester loved. Eventually, Geoff took a shower and changed into his pj's. He then went back to Chester's room, and gingerly went into the bed. The tally marks and drawings put Geoff off, and the bed wasn't too comfortable, but Geoff couldn't complain too much. The bed was a good size and, plus, it was free.
"G'night," Geoff said.
"Goodnight, new best friend!" Chester shouted from underneath the bed.
Geoff, sighing, turned and slowly drifted off to sleep.
...
During the middle of the night, Geoff accidentally slid the blanket off. Chester, noticing this in his sleep, as well as Geoff shivering, used a gooey tentacle to put the blanket back over his new friend neatly...
