Not really, there have been times I've called in due to bad weather when other people have made it in although I will cite my extremely steep and long driveway as a result. If we get any decent amount of snow not even a 4x4 truck will make it up the driveway.
The only way we manage to get in and out on snowy days is by putting cinders from our outdoor wood stove on the driveway but doing that is pretty treacherous given the steep incline.

I could well imagine. I'm lucky in that in my 66 years of life, we've only had ONE time in which we had enough snow to basically stop traffic and that was back in 1990 or so. We got a bad snowstorm the week before Christmas and most people from south Georgia had no idea how to drive in it or on it rather as the roads were covered in snow.
