It's hard living in a world with giants, especially when those giants are oblivious to the destructive nature of their own actions. Another morning had just begun and a bunch of flea-sized people already snuck into a giant's comfy home. Unfortunately, they were forced to risk breaking in unannounced to gather some shelter and food. It was freezing cold outside despite the sun brightly shining in the sky. If they intended to survive, they had to take whatever opportunity that was thrown at their tiny lives.
It was a very dangerous action to take, one wrong move and they could end up squashed underneath a colossal figure's foot. Regardless, the group decided to go with those horrible odds. They all ran across the mile-long floor, hoping to spot a gigantic person living in this oversized house that would aid them. And wouldn't you know it, just as they covered a lot of ground, the floor started to quake rhythmically. It was pretty clear that whoever lived here was already awake and slowly coming closer judging by the increasing intensity of the earthquakes. The insignificant insects turned towards the thundering footsteps to confirm the giant's presence.
Meanwhile, a perky blue hedgehog had just awoken from his tight sleep. Not willingly though. It appears that the cold weather shook him out of his bed. He could spike and roll up all he wanted, once awake he couldn't ignore the freezing atmosphere that surrounded him within the bedroom. Figuring that no amount of blankets could put him back to sleep, he eventually decided to get up. A mere step on the hardwood floor and he began to twitch immediately, apparently, the household ground had been exposed to the cold for a while now. The sleepy boy had to practically drag his bare soles across the hallway to avoid his feet becoming even more numb. He quickly came to the conclusion that a hot beverage could warm his body temperature back up.
The crumb-sized intruders couldn't believe what they were seeing. Miles away loomed probably the most well-known individual on this planet. None other than the fastest thing alive, Sonic The Hedgehog. He looked much more intimidating at that size. Usually, he wouldn't even stand up to people's waist, but right now those same people wouldn't even be able to climb his toes. It was pure horror, a massive giant unaware of their presence was walking right in their direction. His naked soles slammed down recklessly all while the earthquakes they caused became increasingly more violent. The gigantic boy was unstoppable, he would do what he usually did without any interference from smaller lifeforms. But to their relief, the blue god walked past them without any casualties.
Sonic entered the kitchen to heat himself a cup of hot cocoa. It was the only thing that would stop him from freezing into a popsicle. His hands and feet were already covered in a frosty layer of shivering cold which only urged him to be quick about it. To nobody's surprise, he was done the minute he reached the kitchen counter. And once he held the cup he immediately decided to walk to the nearest recliner to kick his feet off the floor. One further step on the floor however changed his mind, he had to drink it right there and now before the frostbite would settle in. A single sip of the deliciously sweet beverage and all feelings were slowly coming back to his limbs. He could feel warmth enveloping him from within, the blood was finally circulating again as usual. The young speedster wiggled his fingers and toes in delight as he could fully feel them again. Even the floor underneath his very soles began losing its cold as Sonic's warm feet emitted their heat into the ground.
It all seemed safe now until the spiky giant turned around again to seemingly walk back towards the crowd. But he magically stood still right in front of the insects as if he noticed their presence. The sudden realization of their own meaningless existence began to hit as they compared sizes up close. The colossal hedgehog wasn't comparable to any tall structure, he was simply too oversized for that. The pathetic fleas would barely stand one hundredth to his gargantuan toes. And as if that wasn't humiliating enough, it seemed like the giant youngster was fully aware of the situation as he gently wiggled his toes in front of his involuntary audience. They all screamed and flinched their arms around, hoping the giant wouldn't mistake them for insects. Although there was hardly any difference to the teasing titan.
