background:
Gabriel started his carrier as a theatre actor until his current agent discovered him. Now he play roles for movies too. He is a talented actor with wide range of voice, playing all kinds of roles including both male and female parts convincingly. In fact his acting skill, his androgynous features and mannerism had lead to the speculations among some of his fans and even coworkers that he is actually female. Despite what is in his official documents.
It adds to it that he neither confirms, nor denies it. He doesn't mind being mistaken like that. Some magazines even refer to him as her. He loves acting and no role is too big or too small or too wierd for him. He only cares that he plays the role perfectly.

He doesn't have much control over it. He can suppress this ability by consciously or subconsciously(but not unconsciously) concentrating on it, making so his body react in natural way. He can also reform very slowly after being squished if he isn't under any stress or force during that time. It usually takes a few days.
Until then, or longer he is at the mercy of whomever is around. Though as not even his agent knows about this it is unlikely that anyone would recognize him at such a state. It is understandable that he doesn't want anyone to know about it, especially his rivals or the few people that hates him.
