Okay, I was *supposed* to just do a quick doodle of Skye to then use to color test some copic markers on bristol so that I can head into the coloring stage of
wielder's commission. I got carried away though and it went from a head doodle to an all-out figure. And then I decided it was nice enough to ink and well... the rest is history.
A quick gradient backdrop in Photoshop to make it "pop" a little and give the black ink outline more of an earthy, brown look.
By the time I finish
wielder's commission, I'll have a pile of 'mini-commissions' of her characters, lol.
Hey, at least my clients get what they pay for and more! :D

Did I drop her name enough?

Some of the best pics start out as a random doodle.....then next thing you know, you say "Well, that turned out lovely, it needs a background....and a foreground....oh god, I put a cherry blossom tree in there ARG ARG MY WRIST IS THE EMBODIMENT OF PAAAIIIIIIIN ARRRRRRG!!!!! ........now it needs color. Well, some green, the blues, browns, pinks for the ARRG ARRRRG!!!! THE PAIN!!! THE BEAUTIFUL BUT EXCRUCIATING PAIN!!!! Okay, now to post it!" [three months later] "One fave.....and ten billion faves on the naked skunk I drew six years ago. CRAP!"
Awwww, you captured her bubbly personality perfectly. I love the clothes you put her in, and the expression on her face is gorgeous. I love the way you draw hands...hands are one of the hardest things to do right, in my opinion. I owe you SOOOOO much giftart.
You're damn right, you definitely get what you pay for when commissioning you.
