So I was getting gas and by the pump was this giant massive bug!

Apparently this thing has been living in the same state as me and I never knew it!

A friend tells me that it’s female because the male has giant massive horns on it’s head....

I am seriously contemplating getting a gun.

This thing proves God loves awesome shit!

Dobsonfly.

While camping by a river I woke up to a dobsonfly larva that had crawled into my sleeping bag. Instant wakeup, no caffiene required.

This thing is cute :D They won't hurt ya. Only the females/larvae can, these things are harmless to humans.

We have gigantic moths here in California that are apparently what tomato worms turn into. I hardly ever see one, but when I do it is a shock. They are big enough that you can HEAR them fly. Bzzzzz.

one time I was just drawing when a praying mantis just dropped from the ceiling and landed in the middle of my paper. Before that I didn't even know that praying mantises lived in my part of the state (I've seen quite a few in Long Island but only this one time in the Bronx)

A huge female mantis slammed into the back of my head last summer!!

I gently pulled her off and set her down on a crate and she did these 🥋 Kung Fu gestures!

I gave her a quick blow and knocked her on her ass!🤪🤬
