I find joy in the beauty of simplicity.
I decided to focus for some time on my painting skills and to bring some more cohesion into my gallery, by focusing on my what I enjoy. The clothing design in this painting was particularly enjoyable to me. It has the ribbons braided into the hair and jewelry on the forehead and the ribbons are also wrapped around the head to create the layered look in combination with the chiffon hood. It creates the softe sense of lightness I enjoy a lot in paintings. (:
It's sometime hard to put your thoughts into words. There is always so much more depth to the human minds and often people don't even know themselves what it really is, that they care about. But that's also part of the reason why I think art is so interesting to see. It goes beyond the limitations of words and sometimes even lets you see the world through the eyes of the artist. I hope my paintings give that kind of insight. Maybe they'll even allow more people to find appreciation for those same aspects I like as well. :D

You make my work sound quite impressive! Thank you for your thoughtful description of how my painting impresses you. There definitely used to be a time where I thought art would just get better the more details you add to it, but the real skill in art comes from leaving out details to make the other parts of the image stronger. Once you figure that out, it becomes a lot of fun to just experiment with styles and how much you can push the contrast in that way. :D
Yeah! It's such a cool effect you can give some paintings! This kind of tension that makes a scene look like the anticipation of action without the imbalance of portraying an action in motion. I don't know if there are any professional terms for this, but it's definitely something I'd like to learn more about. :D
