I feel you could use "bark" as a sort of tease for him with other characters. Since his skin color design is somewhat of a candy bark design, I could see others mocking him saying his "bark" is worse than his bite, as a means to insult his appearance. Like a good character thing from childhood that helped close him off emotionally, the bullying.

Violent males, bleh. Seeing too much of that with characters online anymore, though its this younger generation. I'll stick with DOOM with more violent male stereotypes since thats an old one with purpose haha.

Seriously though, you need more on these characters, least a good 50 page story having them all interact and live in the world they do. I think it would be a fun exercise for you and could help you escape
