la-pez had a lot going for him when he was born, stable family, highly attractive yellow colouring, smarts and health but if you have a rotten attitude all of that counts for every little,
he grew up best buds with commit and while pez never agreed with his xenophobia he did like lording himself over others, claiming he has some kinda superiority and being a bit of a bully (never enough to get in trouble) but like a lot of things this attitude and world view crashed down HARD onto him.

as young teens its easy to get a pack to agree with your views or actions and commits 'plight against lurkers'if its drilled in enough and commit is one broken record, still it can make things very hard then the very group your rage agenst is apart of your family, and one of them adores his older sibling,
a young sleet would always follow and try to join the 'kool group' his older brother was so keen on, paz always found him endearing but still in his very superior manor bullied him, one such day pez and commet grouped up to do some teen stuff (most likely just bitching and pretencing to be mature lol) and sleep of course wented to join, after some hazing things took a bad turn, paz jumpsed and pinned him biting sleets muzzle
his plan was to just spook him but after sleet kicked and slashed his muzzle in return paz ended up raking his teeth and leaving sleet with a huge gash, this is where paz' life spirled,
sleet, wile badly hurt, forgave paz quickly but the vilage didnt, he was constly ostrasized, hassled and emosionilly spent even his family became embarrised in him and this is how he grew up.
not evenryone remebers but those who do make sure he never forgets luckily since meeting sleet again the two get along and even became good friends, pez formed a love for him but their relashinship is.....misty at best
