Sketch of my little cutie Optic being adorable
I really have enjoyed the redesign of this adorable little gal, Optic is my oldest adopted character coming in from way back in the earliest days on FA when I joined.
Nix was having a character adopt auction and I saw this cute hollow light fox and was just so hoping I could adopt them and give them a good home. 7 years later and I definitely haven't draw them as much as I wished I could have, but they are still by far one of my favorite little foxes and I love every time I get to draw them.
Upon working with the graphite style I for sure I need to work on blending her exterior solid sections cause they look so much smoother on the full color reference sheet I'm working on for her vs the graphite style here. Other that that I think her new colors are really neat and I like the deep blue to pink blend I pulled off here. Hopefully sometime soon I'll finally finish her new ref sheet with the new updated color sets, since her old one is from 2015 or earlier at this point.

The light sections are all air, the actual solid black sections of her are solid but the rest is all air and light. You could attempt to hug her, but it would be very awkward because of how hollow she is, haha.
She's definitely a lovely character, Nix originally designed the character with just the red-yellow color spectrum. But after seeing the character the ability to change the light color was just too cool an idea.
