It is not the same pose at all. So I don't know why you say these LIES.
Personally, though, I like it as loose lineart. The gaps in the lines give it this really lovely free-flowing look and I love to see that type of thing in art, though not many people capture that well. At the same time though the lines are really clean and easy to read. It's an awesome combination of both tidy and relaxed, giving it tons of personality and fluidity. I also really love the varying line weights, especially how the hair is drawn with such delicate lines, it really emphasizes the texture of it. And then the bolder lines almost give it a shadow effect that makes it pop out of the white canvas.
His expression is amazing. Ugh, I love the sadness/worry in his eyes, they're so expressive. The lining under them really makes them stand out too and helps to emphasize that emotion. I love the shape of his nose, too, and how thin his eyebrows are they are wicked pretty.
I adore how his arms are posed and his hands! Ugh, his fingers look gorgeous. I love how you have a more exaggerated style for hands and then this more "realistic" one, so to speak. The different styles work with different pictures, and it looks great here! I love how he has one hand grasping his elbow and the other approaching his face to add to the overall feeling of the piece. Excellent body language as always, you always make the emotions so vivid and the viewer really feels them when they look at it! I always get lost staring into your pictures and just swimming in the feelings they give me.
The anatomy is simply gorgeous, I love how wide you make his shoulders! And the way the sleeves on his shirt bunch up are just too cute and so well drawn! The shape of his arms, especially his elbows, is so attractive! And I love his wide chest and how it tapers down into his tiny little waist and hips. It's just so pleasing to look at, he has a beautiful body! And the little legs are too cute. I love how you cut them off but the curve and shape of them still show so much movement so you can envision how they would be positioned. It also makes the pose so lively looking!
Excellent work, I absolutely adore this! <33333
