Well, you never know ... when they made those forms, there was a very puritan ethic going on with the researchers ... much like how they try to cover up any Egyptian art that shows anything dirty, they might just have put the forms of the poor woman who had been tied up for some fun and then left by her erstwhile lover while she got covered in volcanic ash in some dusty back corner of a museums storage or something ...

An interesting assumption... why do you think this was done at New River Beach?

The sand looks similar to the sand at new river, and just recently it was new river beach day with the sand sculptures. Just thought i would risk a guess, hehe.

The States would be a little bit too far away... it's at Romo in Danmark, at Europes widest beach (you can googlemap it).

Ohhh, cool. New River is in New Brunswick, Canada, pretty big beach, with the highest tides in the world. It's on the bay of fundy. they hold the sand sculptures there every year when the tide is lowest.
