One of Bergtor's more sorcerously inclined ancestors managed to infect his bloodline with elemental magic, which manifested his descendants, including Bergtor, most visibly with the stony horns crowning him. Bergtor works maintaining a region of forested nature reserve, his natural aptitudes useful for the hard work; he loves his job, working outside and teaching people about the wonders of the natural world, and he loves the children he teaches, both visitors to the park and his own foals. His children are more constant in his life than any of his lovers, while he's not unloving as a partner, he has little interest in romance, tending more towards a friends-with-benefits arrangement.
