I never got why certain "modifications" are illigal and others aren't.

I'm guessing you're not much on religion, faith, or Heaven/Hell.

I haven't been to church in years, due to feeling like an outsider because of that "you think it you've done it" line in Sunday School . . .

But I do believe and have faith . . . I just don't waste my time adhering to any known religions . . . I just keep my faith in my own way and live my life as best as I know how.

What you say in the final panel is quite right . . . the lack of faith withstanding, those simple rules are the basis for building a decent way of life.
