This idea was based off an idea my friend Kat (local-cryptid-art had about Celtic trolls. Based off this lovely comic

Teen Celtic trolls go to the river and put wreaths in the water. If they get picked by someone it hints towards possible future marriage. Meiri is unlucky and nobody picks her wreath... But Kidd who happened to be swimming by found Meiri's wreath! Although, Kidd is completely clueless about this part of Celtic troll culture. So she's not aware she just lifted Meiri's spirts by finding and wearing her wreath~
