So, about two weeks ago I adopted this guy into my flock. He is pretty perfect, despite losing all of the toes on one of his feet. He was given to me by a friend who worked at a vet clinic. Toeby's last owners had abandoned him after his foot got tangled in a toy and he had to have surgery to have some of his toes removed. The surgery was more than they wanted to pay so they just left him there. Surgery left him very sore and being abandoned at a clinic stressed him out so he chewed his remaining toes off of that foot and is now left with a nub.
He is recovered and extremely sweet, he doesn't say words but he blows kisses and mimics a lot of other sounds. He doesn't seem to even notice his clubbed foot unless he looks right at it, he still perches and crawls around his cage.
He is a Senegal parrot. Him and Izzy seem to get along okay, I don't let them socialize yet, but they are in the same room and sometimes talk. Although he is about 1/3 bigger than Izzy (my Green Cheek Conure) he is much, much, quieter.
