It has been a long while, my friends, hasn't it?

Welp... meet Claire, the shorty-short quirky koala who is extremely obsessed with feet.

While most of the known Desire Keepers have been around for quite a while (some drastically more so than others), Claire lands on the younger side, carrying her gemstone for only around 75 years. Don't let the number fool you, the koala is the second youngest of the bunch. This highly-energetic fuzzball, in a lot of ways, is the one standing out the most, being extremely short and highly unpredictable. Lose sight of her for just a few seconds? Chances are, she's already gone, having gotten bored. She's all over the place, constantly seeking new entertainment while hopping from one realm to the next.

There's a sure way of keeping Claire's attention, though, and that is related to her fetish. Claire is the Keeper of the Desire that is Foot Fetish, one of the Seven Known Desire Gems, which is not something she keeps a secret, being more than open about her interests. This koala can't imagine her life without the sight of bare feet, without massaging or worshipping said feet... taking both the active and the passive role from time to time. If you ever meet Claire and happen to catch her attention – do not underestimate the shorty. In the shortest bit, you'll most likely be pinned to the ground, tied up sloppily, yet securely and, if you're protesting way too much, gagged with your own socks, which were the last obstacle between the big eared captor and her goal.

In the most technical sense... Claire is weird. Most Desire Keepers tend to have their powers be either physical (e.g. Darefell) or mental (e.g. Meruette). Our koala, however, threads the line, as if her very own gem is unsure to which direction it wants to lean more. Claire can influence one's mind to make them desire worshipping feet much like she does... yet she can also quite literally stop you dead in your tracks by taking control of your feet. Such uncertainty in her powers makes using them fairly unreliable for the girl, actions require a lot of concentration on her part. In case of controlling one's feet, making a person, say, walk the way she wants them to walk is a feat that is sure to exhaust her almost entirely. Claire regenerates energy fairly quickly, though.

Among all the Desire Keeper, there's one the girl is the closest to... that being Charles. Claire and Charles are on very good terms. She was immediately attracted to the guy, seeing how his feet were exposed 24/7. Sure, they're odd-looking, but that doesn't detract from Claire's interest what so ever. She usually hangs around the tall cat. He lets her play with his own claw-like feet or with his pets from time to time, seeing how she doesn't fancy keeping slaves of her own. The elegant slaver is also responsible for Claire keeping her original name, the one from before getting binded to the gem shard. Learning from past experiences, Charles noted Claire's name down, so, unlike Darefell, who forgot his real name long before meeting the rest of the Keepers, Claire got to keep hers... even if she really doesn't care much for it. It might be the only thing tying her to her past life, but Claire isn't overly sentimental. She's thoroughly enjoying her new lifestyle.
Charles is generally a kind guy, but what keeps him most interested in Claire is just how odd her powers are. He helps the koala learn to control them better, all while researching the uncertain nature of Claire's Desire Gem, trying to get to the bottom of it.

Thus far, the facts seem to be hinting at the fact that Claire's Gem Powers reflect herself to a great extent. She's chaotic, tough to keep still and surprisingly strong despite her appearance. Perhaps, her wild nature is causing the very crystal she carries around to constantly dangle from one side to the other. Much like the rest, Claire is seeking more shards of her own Desire Gem, but without great interest. Yes, it will give her more power, but Claire herself doesn't have much personal stakes in the matter. She's enjoying her life the way it is now and all she seeks is more fun.

I'll be the first to admit – Designing Claire was no easy feat (feet, hehehe). I thought I had the design down, but when I started actually drawing it, I quickly realized I didn't like it what so ever and basically everything was rubbing me the wrong way. So far, Claire has proven to be the biggest challenge on my way to revealing the whole cast. Kind of fitting, considering how unpredictable she is herself. This little koala took a lot of reworking and figuring out. I had to consider who I'd want Claire to be. Figure out aspects of her that were simply blank in my head... and finally it all started coming together. Some changes had to be made, one of such being the group picture, which had the older design already drawn out. In the end, I imagine it's for the better.
Claire represents foot fetish. A fetish I'm, personally, not extremely interested in, but I simply couldn't skip over it when assembling the cast, which would represent such different fetishes. Rest assured, Claire will still be doing a lot of tying up to keep her prey secure... and, well, she'll surely find herself at the ropes from time to time. Hope you're excited, because you'll be seeing more of Claire in the near future :)
