Another shot from just south of Rocky Knob along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The mountain in the distance is called Buffalo Mountain because of the shape and has become a famous reference point and can be seen at many different points along the Parkway.

Really wish I had a tripod for this picture, because I would have liked to get more of the tree that's in the foreground, but I had to use a posted sign at the overlook for camera support as this took 12 images to fully be brought together.

I'll probably redo this shot as well since it could definitely use a UV filter next time, and I need to make a note to go on a less windy day so the tree branches aren't blowing all over the place. The original HDR layer looked pretty bad because of a lot of ghosting surrounding the tree and it took me hours to clean it all up.
