In which I decided to draw a female of the Lucifer race, just to show that they were a race that once existed in the galaxy, filling the role of "Old Ones" commonly found in fantasy and science-fiction settings.
While I do intend to leave a lot about the Lucifer and their role in shaping the galaxy rather vague, it does seem like a good idea to flesh them out a little bit at least, as their various artifacts can be found scattered throughout the galaxy and their influence still lingers to this day, their bloodlines continued through the Starfarer and Dakromai races which evolved from them (and within the bloodlines of families of numerous other races across the galaxy), and their technology the basis of many space-faring races' own.
It just so happens that their own name for themselves translates to "Enlightened Ones", "Light-Bearers" or "Lucifer", and this has unfortunate implications within some religions on some backwater terrestrial planet halfway down one of the galactic arms--although being a race of quasi-magical space antelope with unsatiable curiosity and a drive to push the limits of the universe itself did lead them to be a rather destructive force at times in the past.

Thanks! Maybe I need to develop her a bit as a character, rather than just as a generic female of her race. I did base her coloration on Queen Rhiannon, perhaps to imply this lady is a distant ancestor? On the other hand, I can also imagine this lady being a lead scientist or a military officer, standing on the bridge of a star cruiser as she oversees an experiment or a military operation, issuing her orders sternly but calmly and frequently making notes on some sort of computer tablet.
I have a weird habit of just dropping random bits of lore here and there--I should actually try to be more cohesive about it, but where's the fun in that?
